At Tietoevry Tech Services, we are dedicated to providing CO2-neutral services powered by 100% renewable energy sources. We place a strong emphasis on efficient resource consumption, avoiding any wasteful usage that may result from idle capacity. In our pursuit of optimal solutions, we employ efficient and modular processing and storage technologies that minimize resource usage while delivering high-quality services. We place great emphasis on waste circularity, with a strong focus on reusing and recycling materials and ensuring the full technical and commercial lifecycle of our IT assets. Furthermore, we actively engage and collaborate with our suppliers to continuously improve our services together.
We place a strong emphasis on energy efficiency in our data centers, with the aim of assisting our customers in reducing their environmental impact when utilizing our services. The Nordic climate offers a number of advantages, including free cooling capabilities and the opportunity to efficiently reuse generated heat for residential heating. We collaborate with suppliers who are also committed to our sustainability code of conduct (SCoC) to select solutions that are efficient, power-saving, and able to operate in warmer conditions in order to minimize cooling needs in the long term.
Tietoevry Tech Services is continuing its data center consolidation project, which commenced in 2021. Throughout this project, we utilize modern technology and infrastructure that offer benefits such as improved energy efficiency. In light of the 2022 winter energy crisis, we have focused on enhancing energy usage in office spaces and data centers, both of which we manage and lease space from co-location data centers. We continuously seek new potential to consolidate operations into a select number of co-located data centers that demonstrate excellent energy efficiency, maintain low carbon footprints, and follow circular economy practices.
