Regulatory Compliance Officer - Tietoevry Tech Services (m/f/d)

We are looking for our Regulatory Compliance Officer who would be part of our Legal & Compliance team in Tietoevry Tech Services.  We play a vital part in the implementation of Tietoevry Tech Services’ strategy and supporting the distinct success paths of our end-to-end businesses, through delivering high-quality services at scale and fostering an exceptional culture.   
 

When joining Tietoevry Tech Services as Regulatory Compliance Officer:
You will join a skilled legal team, where you learn new things with your colleagues.  

Your responsibilities would include:  

• taking care of various regulatory compliance tasks for our businesses in the Nordic region
• Communicate relevant regulatory requirements to the organization relating to e.g. NI2, AI Act, Data Act, DORA etc.
• Advise and support the organization on issues related to regulatory compliance
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the risk of legal and regulatory violations 
• Draft and revise policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements 
• Conduct investigations into potential compliance violations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate resolution of issues 
• Advise business units on compliance-related issues and provide guidance on policies and procedures 
• Stay up to date on emerging regulatory developments and industry best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our compliance program 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and business teams, to support overall company objectives  
• Responsibility for the implementation of internal and external compliance forums and activities related to the implementation of necessary requirements in deliveries
• Assist in the further development of appropriate methodologies to identify, assess, and monitor compliance risk and at the same time strengthen a culture of compliance. Among other things, through reporting, training activities, drafting legal analysis, workshops, and management reviews, contract review

We are looking for a lawyer with: 

• a legal master’s degree from Latvia
• at least four years of post-graduate experience within regulatory compliance, either from an inhouse legal position or from a renowned law firm 
• a desire to expand your skillset 
• an adaptive attitude, no hesitation to work hands-on and come up with pragmatic and well-structured solutions 
• good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset are essential
• fluent language skills in English and Latvian language skills considered as an advantage. Knowledge of Nordic language is an advantage
• Good understanding or interest of the connection between the IT environment and regulatory requirements
• Be able to lead and ensure implementation of projects/activities within set deadlines

If you have additional experience within commercial law, labor law and/or working for Nordic/international companies, this will be an advantage.
